Glenn J. Larocque, Jr., affectionately called "Sammy" by family and friends, passed away suddenly on June 21st, 2023. He was born on December 20,1990 in Providence, Rhode Island and lived in Central Falls, Rhode Island since the age of two; graduating from Central Falls High School in 2011.
Glenn was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to go fishing. He was also a great "chef" and would spend an entire day making all sorts of meals. In early 2021, Glenn began a weight loss journey by starting off with short walks around the Central Falls area. As those walks increased from blocks to miles and walking turned to jogging, Glenn would often be cheered on as he passed friends and neighbors on the street. Glenn even represented Sparkle City in a marathon in September of 2021. Soon his journey found him making frequent visits to a local gym where he would consistently work and achieve his weight loss goals.
Glenn is survived by his parents, June Steele and Glenn J. Larocque, Sr., both of Central Falls, Rhode Island; his sister Alicia (and Adam) Bentley of Coventry, Rhode Island and two (2) brothers, John (and Melissa) Steele of West Warwick, Rhode Island and Leo (and Heather) Larocque of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Alice Steele, and his paternal grandparents, Eva O’Brien and Peter McHugh. Glenn is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Keefe Funeral Home, Higginson Avenue, Lincoln, Rhode Island. Family and friends are invited to pay their respect on Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Burial will be private.
